Virality

Virality grew out of Cal AI's need to manage hundreds of creators. Jake Castillo ran Cal AI's creator program from a heavily automated Google Sheet, with 50 to 70 creators posting on a single day. He then built formal software so the team would not be capped by bandwidth.

He built Virality after existing tools disappointed him. Finding the format was not the hard part; managing the creators at scale was. Jake: "otherwise we would've been always bottle-necked at bandwidth."

Virality covers a creator deal from contract through renewal. It stores deals, sends contracts, tracks posts and views, calculates bonuses and payment dates, and gives each creator a renewal score.

Launch was expected around the end of October. The bonus and renewal features fit Cal AI's model of flat-rate deals, where the profit comes from the occasional post that goes mega viral.
