A few well-ranked low-competition keywords bring in about $3,000 a month. Paraphrase earns about $3,000 a month from a handful of well-ranked keywords plus a little Apple Ads spend. It ranks about number four for a keyword with a search score of 20 and number six for one scoring 23.

Steve Pang uses it as an example of targeting keywords with search scores of roughly 5 to 20, which are less competitive, and checking competitor keywords and scores in a tool such as ASO Mobile. Apple does not explain what its scores mean, so he benchmarks them himself.
