Delphi

A tool for building digital clones of people from their content.

delphi.ai2 sources2 tips
In short

Delphi builds digital clones from a person's content. Lemkin trained SaaStr's clone on 10,000 pieces of his content, and it handled attendee questions on refunds, discounts and venue, though early on it got event dates wrong. It once closed a $70K sponsorship alone. Lesson: deploy where you have no coverage today, and budget training time, since Lemkin spent about an hour a day at first.

What was said about Delphi

  • Point a digital clone at work nobody is doing today. Jason Lemkin built SaaStr's digital clone on Delphi with 10,000 pieces of his content. It started answering event attendees' questions on refunds, discounts and venue on its own.

An inbound agent then qualified website visitors and booked meetings around the clock. It got a sponsor at 11 p.m. on a Saturday, and the digital Jason once closed a $70K sponsorship on its own. Support is a good first place because most apps lack 24/7 coverage. Lemkin: "If you're literally doing nothing and you start to do something that's high ROI, like you're going to get return."

  • Budget about 30 days of daily correction before trusting the clone. Early on the clone gave out wrong event dates. Lemkin spent about an hour a day training it at first, fixing hallucinations and wrong facts.

Vendors in 2024 claimed you could turn a product on and get revenue with no training, and that, plus weaker models, caused failures. Lemkin: "The vendors kind of lied and said just turn the product on." A public B2B company worth over $10 billion had not trained its agent at all.
