Arc Boats

Savvy Navvy's Arc Boats partnership started a flywheel of manufacturer deals. Savvy Navvy, the navigation app, supplied charts and technology and integrated with the helm display of Arc Boats, the electric boat brand, as its first manufacturer partner. A press release announced it, and many more manufacturers approached Savvy Navvy afterward, some with unreleased R&D projects.

Manufacturers bundle 12 months of the app or an extended trial and pay for it, which lends the app trust. Consumers then ask manufacturers for it, and manufacturers come to Savvy Navvy. Several approached because their incumbent suppliers could not give them what they wanted. CarPlay for pontoon boats was added later. In the founder's words: "the consumer wants it. Therefore, the manufacturer wants to provide it."
