From Jonathan Parra, Rotato paywall test
What was said about Rotato
A Rotato phone-in-hand video paywall showed the app in action and won its test. Jonathan Parra recorded the app on his phone, dropped the recording into Rotato, and built a phone-in-hand video with keyframes. The video paywall, paired with social proof and simple bullets, won its test.
The format was inspired by Mojo, who use it heavily. Components such as the video, a slider or the text can be swapped, and the copy should be targeted to the demographic. In his words: "I have rot templates that just kind of show the app in action and you get like a clear value prop by seeing what the app does."
