## How it works
- **One meeting** costs people × hourly cost × (length + the minutes before and after) ÷ 60.
- **A year** is one meeting × meetings a week × 52. A month is a year ÷ 12.
- **The live meter** counts people × hourly cost for every second since you pressed start. It counts the call only, not the time before and after.
An hour of someone's time costs more than their hourly pay once you add taxes, benefits, office and tools, so put in the full cost if you know it.
Cheaper meetings come from fewer people and shorter calls, and from not needing a meeting to share what was decided. [Caddie's meeting notes](https://usecaddie.app/meeting-notes/) write up each call, with no bot joining, so people who skip it can read the decisions and their tasks.
